Promising young 19-year-old NSW State League Football Referees Inc, Scott Edeling, on Wednesday evening picked up the NSW Sports Federation Officials Recognition Scheme for Outstanding Young Official Award for 2009.
Held at the Waterview Convention Centre, Bicentennial Park, Edeling was amongst a couple of other finalists at the Officials awards presentation and NSW Sports Federation Members Christmas function.
Three years ago, Edeling was officiating grassroots level competitions but in such a short space of time was identified and inducted into the Football NSW Elite Development Panel where he received intensive coaching and development. He developed so quickly that within one full season he was selected by the FFA as a Hyundai A-League official. NSW State League Football Referees would like to congratulate Scott on his efforts with this special award.
Macarthur District Football Referee Association’s James Meechan was also rewarded on the evening. |
