Established in 1958 the Australian Soccer Referees Federation NSW Division Incorporated (ASRF NSW), is the premier refereeing body for the sport of football (soccer) in the State of New South Wales, Australia. In 2008 the members voted to change our name to NSW State League Football Referees Incorporated as a result fo the changes to the structure and management of Football in Australia arising from the Crawford Report. We are located in Sydney and have a membership of some 140 elite referees. The NSW SLFR provides quality refereeing services for professional and semi-professional football competitions within New South Wales. We are committed to leading the way in referee development and strive to acheive this through our dedicated referee development programs. In the past this has even included International referee exchanges.
Through the expert advice and coaching received many of our members have progressed to higher honours and have been included on the A-League Refereeing Panels. We also have a number of current and former FIFA Referees and Assistant Referees within our membership. FIFA Level (current)FIFA

Fitness One of the most important aspects of a quality referee is fitness. The NSW SLFR conducts structured fitness training utilising the services of a professional sports trainer. These sessions assist in ensuring our members are able to perform their duties to the highest possible fitness standards. All members of NSW SLFR are required to undertake annual fitness testing. The Technical Sub-Committee set the fitness requirements for each of the referee panals, (generally the current FIFA Fitness testing requirements are used as a basis).
